Madden enjoys a tremendous reputation both within the legal and civic communities, having successfully litigated every sort of case and on every level, including many high-profile capital cases and having served on many civic and bar oversight organizations.
In the appellate arena, he most recently argued before the United States Supreme Court in United States v. Irizarry. State v. St. Paul Fire and Marine Ins. Co involved a case of major impression for the criminal defense community as it sought to make a corporate entity criminally liable. The St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, along with its national director of litigation, claims representatives, and local counsel were indicted on state perjury charges.
